USE: Used as a food preservative, suitable for cakes and bread as preservatives used as fungicides. Sodium propionate is almost non-toxic to the human body. The amount of food is the same as calcium propionate (according to propionic acid). The maximum permissible concentration of 2% (propionic acid) is used in cosmetics.
